Collins User

Omondi Collins is an IT professional from Busia, Kenya, with a strong foundation in informatics, systems support, and database management. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Informatics/Information Technology from Rongo University, where he gained hands-on experience in software engineering, networking, information security, and database systems.

Collins has developed practical skills in ICT support, system administration, network troubleshooting, and web development using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, MySQL, and PostgreSQL. His passion for technology is matched by a growing interest in leadership—reinforced by a Certificate in Supervisory Skills Development from the Kenya Institute of Management (KIM). This training strengthened his abilities in team coordination, conflict resolution, and effective communication.

He gained professional exposure as an ICT Attachee at the Department of ICT and Innovation in Busia, where he supported helpdesk operations, installed and maintained hardware/software systems, and assisted in server maintenance and data backup procedures. Collins also contributed to documentation and training for non-technical staff.

As part of his academic work, he developed a Student Clearance Management System that automated student clearance processes using PHP, MySQL, HTML/CSS, and JavaScript—showcasing his ability to design functional, user-centered solutions.

Collins is certified in Google IT Support, Cisco Introduction to Cybersecurity, IBM Project Management Fundamentals, and Supervisory Skills Development. He is fluent in English and Swahili and is committed to delivering reliable IT solutions while contributing positively to team and organizational goals.
