@charlespappas
Retired law enforcement executive and college criminal justice educator.
What I'm looking for
I am a retired law enforcement executive with 50 years of policing experience and a strong record in leadership, compliance, and special investigations. I served as Director of Law Enforcement Liaison for the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office and attained the rank of Lieutenant in the Troy Police Department.
I have extensive operational and investigative experience, including task force work with the DEA, auto-theft and narcotics recognition, and oversight roles such as PREA coordinator and internal compliance director. I have participated in and led statewide and federal-level initiatives and inspections.
As an academic I served as Statewide Campus Chair and faculty member for a university criminal justice program and taught as adjunct faculty at Wayne County Community College, combining practical policing with decades of classroom instruction. I hold a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Master of Liberal Studies, and completed Northwestern’s School of Staff and Command.
I am collaborative, results-driven, and committed to mentoring the next generation of criminal justice professionals. I bring proven strategic planning, personnel management, public information, and policy development skills to leadership roles in public safety or related organizations.
