Charlene Mharakurwa
@charlenemharakurwa
Registered pharmacist building AI-driven digital health products.
What I'm looking for
I am a registered pharmacist with hands-on experience in high-volume prescription processing, medication safety, and clinical quality assurance. I combine frontline clinical practice with product thinking to solve pharmacy workflow pain points.
Currently I build digital health products using AI-assisted development, shipping full-stack proofs-of-concept that integrate with existing pharmacy workflows and government formularies. My projects focus on real-time inventory alerts and competency-driven learning for pharmacists.
In hospital practice I conduct structured surveillance of 3,000+ medication products, manage stock integrity using FIFO/FEFO and controlled-drug protocols, and collaborate with procurement and clinical teams to resolve discrepancies. In community practice I validated 100+ prescriptions daily, performed drug utilisation reviews, and documented QA improvements.
I am completing a Postgraduate Certificate in Digital Health at the University of Auckland to formalise my transition into health technology and drug safety. I bring clinical credibility, technical skills (Django/Python, AI-assisted tools), and a user-centered approach to delivering safer, more efficient pharmacy systems.
