What I'm looking for

I am looking for a role that values innovative teaching methods and fosters student growth.

I am a dedicated ELA and Social Studies teacher with a strong belief in the transformative power of education. My journey began during the COVID pandemic, where I adapted to online teaching, honing my skills in creating engaging virtual classrooms. I have taught a diverse range of subjects, from Gothic Horror to Civil Rights, and I strive to foster critical thinking and self-reflection in my students.

Currently, I teach at Harmony Academy, a recovery school where I emphasize community and interpersonal relationships. My teaching philosophy centers around student-led, Socratic-style discussions that encourage a growth mindset. I am committed to exposing students to a variety of media and cultural perspectives, preparing them to be informed citizens and empathetic individuals.
