What I'm looking for
I am a passionate educator currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Urban Education with a focus on Administration and Policy. My academic journey has been marked by a commitment to understanding and improving educational practices, particularly for students with diverse learning needs. My thesis, 'Restoring the Whole Child Education,' explores the impact of restorative justice practices in middle school special education classrooms, reflecting my dedication to fostering inclusive and equitable learning environments.
In my current role as a Special Education English and History Teacher at Stevenson College and Career Preparatory, I differentiate instruction for over 30 students in a Title I school, ensuring that each child's unique learning needs are met. I also serve as a delegate for both the California Teachers Association and the National Education Association, advocating for policy changes that benefit educators and students alike. My previous experience as a Restorative Justice Consultant has equipped me with the skills to design effective tools and frameworks that promote social emotional learning and restorative practices across various educational settings.
