Catherine Hernandez
@catherinehernandez
Senior research program manager building data pipelines and analytics for public health impact.
What I'm looking for
I’m a Senior Research Program Manager focused on data infrastructure, analytics, and decision-ready reporting across multi-site research programs. I design relational database systems (SQL), build end-to-end data pipelines, and strengthen data workflows to reduce manual errors and improve consistency.
In my current role at UTHealth Houston School of Public Health, I translate operational and research needs into structured data solutions. I develop reproducible analytical workflows for auditability and scalability, and I monitor data integrity with validation processes so reporting stays accurate even with evolving requirements.
Previously, as a Data & Research Coordinator at UTRGV, I built data tracking and reporting systems for program evaluation, managed longitudinal participant datasets, and supported statistical modeling and predictive analytics. I also coordinated research teams and standardized data management protocols to ensure quality control and compliance.
My technical work spans supervised modeling, feature engineering, and model evaluation, along with NLP and network/topic modeling for health communication. I bring an IRB-aware research mindset—rooted in study design support, research operations, and team coordination—so stakeholders get actionable insights you can trust.
