Senior UX and health services researcher improving AI-enabled healthcare tech through human-centered, mixed-methods research.
What I'm looking for
I’m a senior UX and Health Services Researcher with 10+ years conducting human-centered research in healthcare technology, specializing in human factors, usability testing, and clinical workflow analysis. I lead formative and summative evaluations to surface usability barriers, cognitive workload, workflow challenges, and potential safety risks—so teams can improve adoption, safety, and effectiveness.
At Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, I lead human factors and UX research for AI-enabled, VR, and healthcare software applications, collaborating closely with clinicians, engineers, product managers, and designers. I also lead the development and validation of Patient-Reported Outcome (PRO) measures under FDA review, and I’ve served as PI or Co-I on more than 20 funded projects supported by NIH, PCORI, and industry sponsors.
Earlier, I served as Associate Professor of Management and Information Systems, designing and teaching courses while publishing peer-reviewed research on governance of agile methodologies, knowledge management systems, and digital collaboration tools. Through visiting scholar roles, I co-designed qualitative studies, conducted IT workflow observations, and translated findings into practical recommendations using human-centered design and mixed-method approaches.
