Brock Lachapelle
@brocklachapelle
Grant writer and fundraising professional translating research into compelling, mission-driven outcomes.
What I'm looking for
I’m a development and communications professional with a strong background in nonprofit fundraising, grant writing, and donor engagement. I translate research into clear, compelling supporter communications and impact narratives that help mission-driven organizations move forward.
In my recent work, I produced development-focused briefs and reports for nonprofit and academic audiences as a Research Analyst Intern at the Swette Center for Sustainable Food Systems. I also supported grant proposal frameworks through stakeholder interviews and data analysis, bringing both structure and narrative to the process.
My graduate-level capstone work at the Biddeford Food Pantry focused on food insecurity relief and grant proposal development, resulting in a successful proposal for infrastructure improvements (refrigeration). I developed impact narratives, proposed budgets, and capacity-building rationale while aligning funding strategy with organizational goals.
I bring additional operational strengths from years of hospitality leadership and current Owner & Operator experience—managing finances, scheduling, client relations, and communications. With training in public policy, community development, and sustainable food systems, I’m energized by Maine’s cultural heritage and committed to advancing mission-driven work through creativity, collaboration, and detail-oriented execution.
