What I'm looking for

I’m seeking a role in Education to enhance my skills while working with various populations of students and disabilities—developing IEPs, planning instruction around goals, and collaborating with families and specialists to support progress.

I bring over ten years of experience working in the education field, including nine years working as a Special Education Teacher. I’m dedicated to helping students succeed by translating goals into clear, actionable learning supports.

I earned my Master of Science in Special Education Studies and additional authorization in Early Childhood Special Education. I hold a Moderate/Severe Education Specialist Credential/Autism Authorization, plus a Mild/Moderate Education Specialist Credential.

In my work, I develop and implement IEPs (Individual Education Plans) and plan lessons for students based on IEP goals. I’m proficient in SIRAS and collaborate with teachers, parents, school psychologist, and speech pathologist in the development of student IEP goals.

I support a wide range of learners, working with students with multiple disabilities such as LD (Learning Disability), IDD (Intellectual Developmental Disorder), Autism, Asperger’s, ED (Emotionally Disturbed), Down Syndrome, and ADHD. I implement PBIS with visual schedules, token charts, first-then charts, incentive charts, and I’m trained in ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis), using Task Analysis to scaffold lessons while modifying teaching styles to fit students learning styles.
