What I'm looking for

I’m looking for a backend role where I can build distributed, fault-tolerant services, own architecture decisions, and use Java with Kafka/GCP to deliver real-time, scalable systems with strong observability.

I’m a Backend Software Engineer focused on distributed systems and large-scale, reliable execution. At FLIPKART, I owned end-to-end architecture and design decisions for a distributed job orchestration service built from scratch.

I implemented a fault-tolerant reconciler with a 10-second cadence to scan and re-dispatch stalled or missed jobs, improving job pickup reliability under high-concurrency workloads. I also engineered event-driven operational alerting using Kafka for real-time stakeholder notifications, eliminating manual UI polling and significantly reducing Time-to-Resolution.

I’ve improved production stability by automating log rotation across Azkaban, Mesos, and application VMs to prevent VM crash incidents from unmanaged log growth. I containerized and scaled services with Docker and Kubernetes, integrated ZooKeeper for distributed service discovery, and used Nagios for real-time observability.
