Betelhem Alem Hagos

I am a project manager and program leader with extensive experience designing and implementing initiatives that advance women's leadership, gender equality, and sexual and reproductive health across Ethiopia. I combine clinical training with programmatic expertise to drive community-level impact and policy engagement.

I have managed multi-donor projects funded by GIZ, CARE Ethiopia, Freedom House, UN Women, and others, overseeing project design, stakeholder coordination, fundraising, and M&E. I led national and regional initiatives that mobilized women leaders, produced training manuals, and strengthened community ownership.

My work includes directing SRH programming, contributing to Ethiopia's WPS-NAP technical committee, and managing health and youth-focused outreach and research. I have overseen data collection and analysis using SPSS and STATA and developed strategic and annual plans, training curricula, and monitoring frameworks.

I bring pragmatic leadership, strong facilitation and capacity-building skills, and a proven track record of securing resources and delivering measurable outcomes. I seek roles where I can expand program reach, support women’s meaningful participation, and strengthen sustainable, community-led solutions.
