Baaba Scobina

I’m a motivated Community Nutrition graduate with practical experience in nutritional assessment, dietary counselling, health promotion, and community outreach. I focus on supporting nutrition interventions through clear patient education, nutrition screening, and collaboration to improve health outcomes.

Through my National Service at the Diet Therapy Unit, Cape Coast Teaching Hospital, I delivered nutrition education and health promotion activities to patients and community members. I provided individualized nutrition counselling for chronic and acute medical conditions, planned therapeutic diets, and monitored adherence to prescribed dietary interventions. I also participated in school outreach programs for nutrition education, dietary guidance, and malnutrition prevention, working closely with healthcare professionals to support better outcomes.

I extend my impact through community leadership and volunteering with EnB Foundation, where I help plan and coordinate events, develop educational materials, and support program implementation and stakeholder engagement. In my Assistant Women’s Commissioner role within the Department of Nutrition at University for Development Studies, I coordinated outreach promoting healthy eating and disease prevention, facilitated collaboration between students and external stakeholders, and supported policy development and initiatives.
