At IIT Bombay’s National Virtual Library of India Project, I conduct research and develop public-facing content on India’s cultural heritage. My work includes object-based research and iconographic analysis of 159 repatriated cultural artefacts.
I led provenance and historical research for the Retrieved Artefacts of India section, developing interpretive case studies on the trafficking, recovery, repatriation, and iconography of 35 artefacts. I’ve also researched the Buddhist relics of Piprahwa and contributed analyses for the Iconic Battles of India section.
My earlier work includes field research on Jodhpur’s heritage, heritage-building surveys with SOFTLINE STUDIOS, and gallery research and digitisation at the National Museum. I hold an MA in History from Hansraj College, Delhi University, with a specialisation in Ancient and Early Medieval Indian History.
