Misha Jaswal
@mishajaswal
Curator and research manager translating art-history scholarship into public-facing cultural experiences.
What I'm looking for
I’m an art historian, curator, editor, and research manager with over five years of experience in exhibition development, museum interpretation, editorial leadership, and cultural content creation. I lead research-driven work that stays academically grounded while remaining accessible to the public.
I’m a Gold Medallist in History of Art from the National Museum Institute, New Delhi. My focus is Indian folk, tribal, and traditional arts, supported by extensive field-based research and deep training at Chitrashala for Phad painting.
As Curator and Research Manager (Head, Research and Curation) at MeMeraki, Gurugram, I lead the Research and Curation department, overseeing exhibition interpretation and content development across platforms. I oversee a multidisciplinary team of six, and I direct research, editorial strategy, visitor-facing narratives, and educational programming.
I spearhead end-to-end curatorial operations for national and international exhibitions, managing logistics, artist coordination, and on-site assembly under tight deadlines. I also integrate digital storytelling through QR-coded, audio-visual paths, and I served as editor for Deshaj for the India Art, Architecture and Design Biennale (IAADB) commissioned by the Ministry of Culture.
