Joyshree Nath

I’m a Doctorate in History with specialisation in socio-cultural, literary, and art history, and 8+ years of professional experience in research, content development, editing, and project management. I lead cultural and academic content work across government, education, and social impact sectors, with a strong focus on digital heritage.

Since November 2021, I’ve worked as a Project Manager at the National Virtual Library of India (NVLI) and helped build the Indian Culture Portal, integrating heritage content from museums, libraries, archives, and cultural institutions. I lead editorial and operational teams for key categories—Festivals of India and Folktales of India—handling research, writing, editing, curation, and review workflows end-to-end.

I also supervise and restructure heritage content frameworks (including Food and Culture) to ensure consistency and quality, and contribute to digital repository development for Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. My work blends storytelling and production, including visual storytelling formats such as flipbooks and photo essays, created using Canva and supported by AI tools.

Earlier, I served as a Subject Matter Expert (Contractual) for Chegg India, creating teaching and learning materials for online academic support for History and Political Science, and performing quality checks and content reviews. I’ve also held roles as a Research and Documentation Manager at MASH Project Foundation, a Deputy Editor at Agriculture Today Magazine, and an academics-focused content editor at Pratham Education.
