Aynat Cortez

I’m a Web Developer with over five years of experience building, maintaining, and optimizing websites and web applications, with a strong focus on WordPress development.

Throughout my career, I’ve worked on custom WordPress solutions, including custom themes, Advanced Custom Fields (ACF), Custom Post Types, WooCommerce, multisite environments, API integrations, and performance optimization. I’m comfortable working with both custom development and established builders and frameworks such as GeneratePress, GenerateBlocks, Divi, Elementor, and Bricks.

Beyond WordPress, I have experience with Vue.js, Nuxt, Laravel, JavaScript, PHP, HTML, CSS, and modern frontend workflows. I’ve also worked with third-party APIs, automation tools such as n8n and HubSpot, GSAP animations, and headless architectures where WordPress serves as a backend for custom frontends.

A large part of my experience involves maintaining existing websites and improving them over time. This includes troubleshooting technical issues, optimizing Core Web Vitals and page speed, fixing responsive and cross-browser problems, implementing new landing pages and features, managing plugin and theme updates, and improving the overall user experience without introducing unnecessary complexity.

One of the things I enjoy most is analyzing how a website or system currently works and finding ways to make it faster, cleaner, easier to maintain, and more effective for the business. I’m particularly interested in web performance, WordPress architecture, automation, UX/UI, and creating practical solutions that solve real business problems rather than simply adding more technology.

I’m comfortable collaborating with designers, developers, marketers, and clients, working from Figma designs or existing websites, managing ongoing requests, and communicating technical concepts in a straightforward way.

I’m currently looking for opportunities where I can contribute my WordPress and web development experience while continuing to grow in areas such as modern frontend development, automation, scalable web architecture, and performance optimization.
