I am a supply chain and operations professional with over 27 years of experience across leading organisations such as Nestlé India, Perfetti Van Melle and Britannia Industries. My experience spans FMCG, food and beverages, manufacturing, logistics, distribution, customer service and business transformation.
I hold a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Punjab Engineering College, Chandigarh, and have completed the Executive General Management Programme from IIM Calcutta.
During my career at Nestlé, I held several leadership positions, including Head of Customer-Facing Supply Chain for South Asia. I led customer-facing supply chain operations supporting over 3,000 distributors and managed a distribution budget of approximately ₹600 crore. My responsibilities included customer service, logistics, transportation, warehousing, replenishment, order fulfilment and Order-to-Cash operations.
One of my key achievements was developing an advanced replenishment system in collaboration with Accenture to improve product availability, reduce inventory and wastage, and enhance supply chain efficiency. I have delivered improvements in OTIF, warehouse utilisation, operational turnaround time, inventory management and distribution productivity.
At Perfetti Van Melle, I worked on supply chain planning, logistics and distribution, contributing to a 16% reduction in logistics costs and improvement in on-time delivery from 72% to 90%. At Britannia, I managed manufacturing operations, helping reduce equipment downtime by 50% and production changeover time from eight hours to one hour.
Over the years, I have also worked in consulting, business advisory, executive recruitment and entrepreneurial assignments, particularly in the food, beverage and consumer products sectors. My experience includes setting up business operations, procurement, manufacturing, distribution and go-to-market processes for growing businesses.
