What I'm looking for

I am looking for fresh challenging opportunities where I will be ideating, designing and building products end to end. I am looking for a dynamic work environment where constructive feedback is appreciated and flexibility is provided when necessary.

I am a backend software engineer with a penchant for building deep learning systems. I have experience in end to end designing and implementing highly scalable system workflows. You can entrust me with any sort of project, I will deliver in time and even further augment your experience. I developed sharp quantitative and analytical skills while preparing for JEE-Advanced in which I scored a top 2.5% rank out of 0.15 million candidates which was a result of my constantly challenging myself out of my comfort zone and a keen interest in applied mathematics. I have broad experience in Data analysis, Machine Learning, Deep Learning and building backend systems in Java/Python employing Messaging Systems, No-SQL Databases like Cassandra, KDB, Neo4j and deployment tools like aim. Few broad highlights of my experience include the following : I worked for JP Morgan as an Associate Software Engineer for 3 years. I contributed to designing essential microservices for the FX Algorithmic Execution team including FixRouter, Algo Order Server and Proxy by leveraging modern low latency messaging system of AMPS, advanced communication protocols and No-SQL databases. I also worked towards migrating our legacy notification based monolithic system to a new distributed event driven microservices architecture for our FX execution platform built on top of fix messaging protocol. I migrated existing legacy AlgoX swing blotter to a new lightweight web based blotter employing firm’s UI toolkits, secured communication channels and enabling faster deployments via aim. I also implemented the backend workflow of critical UI applications like Aloe and Web Blotter for seamlessly rendering 1 million orders via different stacks, alerts and low latency order placements. In my Mitacs Globalink Internship at Vancouver, I learnt how to tackle challenging problems in Deep Learning and Adversarial Attacks. It was a novel opportunity for me to apply my creativity and research skills to obtain excellent publishable results. Worked as a lead developer in a budding startup, Pakit based out of IIT Guwahati. I engineered a production ready application from scratch in a short span of time, thereby helping me develop superior time management skills. Participated and won in numerous hackathons pertaining to Software development, Machine Learning and Quantitative analysis, further improving my desire to engage in challenging roles. Worked extensively on various relevant and engaging projects which significantly helped in developing my analytical and collaborative skills. I will always be a team player and will communicate effectively from start to end while working on your project outlining all the developments effectively whenever we touch base.

Experience

Deep Learning Research Intern (Mitacs)

Simon Fraser University

May 2018 - Aug 2018 (3 months)

I worked as a Mitacs R&D intern and worked at MICA lab of SFU. I implemented white-box and black-box adversarial attacks on a binary classification task of chest X-ray-14 dataset and worked towards developing a novel adversarial defence which outperformed several existing defences in both classification and segmentation tasks. TR

Research & Development Intern

Transpacks

May 2017 - Jun 2017 (1 month)

I worked as a Research & Development Intern at Checko.
I implemented SVM using Gabor Features and HOG feature descriptor and used
neural network based approach for classifying genuine tags.
I also implemented quick prototypes, worked with DBMS like SQLite and Firebase
Realtime Database and improved on the existing app to make it production ready.
