Anya Brunton
@anyabrunton
Law graduate and policy research intern focused on data governance, data protection, and precise legal drafting.
What I'm looking for
I’m a law graduate building a career at the intersection of legal research and public policy, with a clear focus on data governance, data protection, and digital regulation. My final-year work—“How AI is Changing the World of Film”—drew on U.S. copyright law and right of publicity research, and I collaborated with a professor to propose reforms addressing AI-authored works and actors’ rights.
In practice, I’ve supported policy development through drafting and research at the Caribbean Telecommunications Union, and I’ve gained courtroom and comparative-systems exposure through internships at the Caribbean Court of Justice and the Office of the Attorney General. Alongside my work, I strengthen my advocacy and communication through mooting, arbitration-focused public speaking, and leadership in student legal education content and workshops—always with the goal of turning complex legal issues into clear recommendations.
