At Certified Translation and Interpretation Services / BC Professional Legal Interpreters (BCPLI), I provided English–Ukrainian and English–Russian legal translation and interpretation in British Columbia. I helped legal professionals and clients communicate complex, sensitive information while preserving its meaning and intent.
At Victoria Immigrant and Refugee Centre Society (VICIRS), I provided supervised counselling to refugees, immigrants, and newcomers. I conducted intake interviews and biopsychosocial assessments, and used trauma-informed, person-centered, strengths-based, and CBT-informed approaches.
In cardiology and family medicine clinics in Toronto, I supported communication between healthcare providers and Ukrainian- and Russian-speaking patients, including explaining care instructions and assisting with healthcare navigation. I also worked as a Family Physician in Ukraine, and hold an MD and a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology.
