What I'm looking for

I’m looking for a team where I can build single-cell mechanobiological models of immune cells, extend my T-cell microgravity work with pathway/metabolic detail, and solve complex biological problems using computational modelling and omics integration.

I’m a Senior Research Fellow at CSIR- National Chemical Laboratory, Pune, focused on “Mathematical modelling and insillico simulation of immune system under microgravity.” My work combines mesoscale CFD with mechanobiology to explain how gravitational variations reshape immune-cell structure and function.

Since August 2018, I’ve developed and validated 2D mesoscale DPD models for RBC and WBC dynamics under altered gravity (0g–2g), quantifying mechanical metrics and linking shear/drag forces to morphological adaptations. I also advanced cyto-nuclear architectural modelling in WBCs to study intracellular force transmission and characterize cyto-nuclear deformations under altered gravity and fluid stresses.

Beyond cell mechanics, I built the “MechSigFlow pipeline” to integrate CFD force data with a Signal Flow Algorithm (SFA) for quantifying gravitational effects on T-cell gene expression and signal propagation—validated against transcriptomic datasets. I enjoy collaborating, communicating across disciplines, and mentoring—having mentored a Summer intern, an M. Tech. student, and two project assistants under Dr. Ram Rup Sarkar’s PI role.
