Sonia Chowdhury

I am a mathematical biologist with a Ph.D. and postdoctoral research experience, focused on applying quantitative methods to biological problems. My training emphasizes rigorous analysis of dynamical systems and differential-equation models.

My research centers on mathematical and immunological modeling of infectious diseases, including HIV and HPV, with work on CTL response, drug-therapy combinations, impulsive control, and vaccination strategies. I apply differential equations and dynamical-systems techniques to study treatment and prevention dynamics.

I have published multiple peer-reviewed articles and book chapters and have presented my work at international conferences; I was awarded second prize for Best Student Presentation (Mathematics) at India Biodiversity Meet (2013). My scholarship demonstrates consistent contributions to biomathematics and infectious-disease modeling.
