What I'm looking for

I’m looking for a Cyber Insurance Support Analyst role where I can combine cybersecurity fundamentals with clear client communication. I want to help organizations understand cyber risk, support regulatory compliance, and strengthen incident and breach readiness.

I’m a detail-oriented cybersecurity student with hands-on academic experience in data security, cryptography, digital forensics, and systems administration. I bring a clear, compliance-minded approach shaped by my patient care background, especially when handling sensitive information accurately and professionally.

Through my coursework at Oakland Community College, I’ve built practical foundations in Introduction to Cryptography (symmetric/asymmetric encryption, hashing algorithms, PKI fundamentals), Computer Forensics (evidence collection, chain of custody, file system analysis, forensic tools), and Data Security (access control models, data classification, risk assessment, security policies). I’m also strengthening my operational skills with Windows Administration topics like Active Directory, Group Policy, and system hardening.

My technical focus includes cryptography, risk assessment, and access controls, along with incident response basics and digital forensics principles like evidence handling and chain of custody documentation. I use Python for scripting, automation, and basic data parsing, and I’m familiar with tools such as Wireshark (intro), forensic imaging tools, and Microsoft Office 365. I also apply compliance awareness from HIPAA and foundational knowledge of GDPR and CCPA.

I’m seeking a Cyber Insurance Support Analyst role where I can bridge technical knowledge and client-facing expertise to help organizations understand and manage cyber risk. I’m especially interested in how cybersecurity risk translates to business exposure—data breach impact, ransomware response, regulatory compliance, and the role of cyber insurance in broader risk management strategy.
