Andre Cabanas
@andrecabanas
Aspiring software engineer building secure, user-focused web applications and vulnerability analysis tools.
What I'm looking for
I’m a software engineering focused computer science graduate who enjoys turning technical ideas into reliable, testable software. I like working across the stack while keeping usability and security in view.
In my DEVCOM software engineering capstone, I contributed to a cybersecurity platform using a TreeView approach for vulnerability analysis and system assessment. I built and maintained Docker-based environments for reproducible testing and secure deployment workflows, and used Trivy, Grype, SSH, and Gobuster for vulnerability scanning, remote access, and attack surface enumeration.
Across projects and research, I’ve developed full-stack applications such as a hotel booking web app with authentication and reservation features using React, Firestore, Firebase, and Git, plus a GenAI music playlist app using Streamlit, BigQuery, and Google Cloud. I also worked on an accessibility-minded authentication prototype in C and Python, then refined it using usability-focused studies and feedback analysis.
