What I'm looking for

I’m seeking an oncology-focused role where I can lead evidence-based utilization review, manage specialty medications, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and provide compassionate patient and family education.

I’m a Family Nurse Practitioner with 9 years of experience focused on maximizing my educational background to deliver high-quality health care. Across my career, I’ve provided leadership through management and supervision, and I’m skilled in patient and family teaching with a strong emphasis on compassionate communication.

In my current role as a Nurse Practitioner - Clinical Oncology Consultant at UnitedHealth, I work with Medical Directors, Nurses, and Advanced Practice Providers to provide clinical guidance and perform utilization review using evidence-based oncology guidelines produced by NCCN, RTOG, and ASTRO. I complete utilization management for specialty medications for conditions including hyperlipidemia, migraines, autoimmune disorders, anemia, osteoporosis, and pediatric conditions, while interpreting policies and processes in accordance with Commercial ASO ERISA and Medicare lines of business to ensure compliance with medical necessity and turnaround times. I also complete P2Ps and post-denial P2Ps and align my work with company values focused on quality, affordability, and service.

My clinical foundation is built on hands-on oncology care and care coordination. As a Registered Nurse in Radiation Oncology Preservice Review, I validated requests for radiation oncology services and collaborated with medical directors and provider offices to ensure accurate processing. I also served as a Registered Nurse – Case Manager, identifying gaps and barriers in treatment plans, coordinating care, providing education on disease processes, and supporting healthy lifestyle changes; earlier, I was a Nurse Practitioner at Emory Proton Center and Archbold Medical Center, where I delivered individualized oncology care for pediatric and adult patients, ordered and interpreted diagnostics, implemented treatment regimens, participated in tumor boards, and provided symptom management. I hold an MSN as an FNP (graduated at the top of my class with a 3.81 GPA and received an NP Student award).
