Clinical Therapist Intern delivering evidence-based counseling and crisis support.
What I'm looking for
I’m a dedicated and compassionate Clinical Therapist Intern with experience providing therapeutic services in a behavioral health hospital setting. I focus on fostering emotional well-being, promoting resilience, and helping people reach personal, academic, and mental health goals.
In Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) settings, I facilitated psychoeducational and process groups for adults and provided individual counseling using evidence-based interventions. I work with cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) techniques, and I complete biopsychosocial assessments, treatment planning, progress notes, and discharge summaries in line with clinical and regulatory standards (HIPAA).
I’m also experienced in crisis intervention, including safety planning and risk assessments, and I support clients with mental health challenges through coordinated, team-based care. I collaborate with multidisciplinary treatment teams, and I provide case management services such as referrals to community resources and coordination of follow-up care.
Beyond clinical work, I’ve supported diverse student populations as a Paraprofessional in a public school district. I assisted with individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavioral intervention strategies, monitored progress and documented observations, and worked closely with teachers, counselors, administrators, and families to maintain a safe, inclusive, supportive learning environment.
