I’m a CFO and senior finance leader with 20+ years across finance, accounting, capital markets and operations. I’ve led Finance in founder-led, investor-led and private equity-backed businesses, with experience spanning manufacturing, distribution, professional services, technology/FinTech and recurring-revenue business models.

My strength is the combination of strategic finance and deep technical accounting. I’m equally comfortable building a forecast or financial model, presenting performance and recommendations to a CEO or Board, negotiating with lenders, or getting into the underlying accounting to understand why the numbers don’t make sense.

I’ve built finance functions and FP&A infrastructure from the ground up, led budgeting and forecasting, cash-flow and liquidity planning, profitability and unit-economics analysis, pricing, working-capital management, multi-entity consolidations, GAAP reporting, audits, internal controls, M&A diligence and post-close integration. I’ve also worked directly with PE sponsors and Boards on performance, liquidity, adjusted EBITDA, strategic initiatives and capital allocation.

I tend to gravitate toward businesses where Finance needs to be built, improved or made more useful to the business. Examples include improving gross margin 7–9% after uncovering freight costs missing from product pricing, identifying $125K in annualized savings and increasing forecasted EBITDA approximately 6.3%, and reducing monthly close cycles from 15 days to as little as 3–5 days.

I’m also an active user of AI and automation in Finance. I build workflows and tools for forecasting, variance analysis, reconciliations, management reporting, dashboards and recurring financial analysis so lean finance teams can spend less time assembling information and more time interpreting it.

Earlier in my career, I worked in institutional fixed income and FinTech, including as a bond trader and at BondDesk, a technology company that developed an electronic fixed-income trading platform. That capital-markets background continues to shape how I think about risk, liquidity and capital.

I’m most interested in CFO, VP Finance, SVP Finance and Head of Finance opportunities where Finance is expected to be a true operating partner — connecting accounting and operational data, identifying what is actually driving performance, and helping leadership make better decisions. I’m based in San Diego and particularly interested in remote U.S. opportunities or San Diego-area roles.
