I am looking for a job that has a lot of challenges to add to my career path, and that gives me a cultural exchange. I have a preference for something that works directly with open source, but it's not a requirement.

I am a SiteOps Engineer. I am engaged in development communities and collaborate with open-source.
BrazilWhat I'm looking for
Hi, my name is Álvaro, a software developer with a passion for solving problems by contributing to the order, action, and growth of the teams I work with. With a solid technical foundation and unique skill set, I strive to achieve desired results and foster a collaborative and comfortable environment where everyone can thrive.
I enjoy seeing the big picture and charting the most effective paths to solving a problem. I can abstract the scenarios well and connect the necessary dots, allowing me to learn, adapt, and achieve tangible results. This is quite useful in cost reduction tasks, where I have already been able to reduce MWAA log storage costs in CloudWatch on AWS by over 95% in one of my professional experiences.
Knowledge of the data pipeline and making data-driven decisions is one of the most important skills for today. Developing the entire pipeline, from collecting the raw data, processing it, and storing it until it serves as input for a decision-making process. One example was building a dashboard about coronavirus in the state of Rio Grande do Norte in Brazil, which helped local authorities in decision-making during the covid-19 pandemic.
I have worked in different business contexts, which made me adaptable to the proposed problem. I always value essential skills for context-independent software development, such as best practices, documentation, and negotiation strategies.
I believe that a relaxed and friendly environment makes people feel comfortable to express themselves. By promoting assertive communication and breaking the ice a bit, I try to bring out the best in people and contribute to a positive culture on the team, driving collaboration among all.
One of the things I enjoy most is the software development communities and contributing to free and open-source software. Every year I participate in Hacktoberfest hosted by GitHub, own and maintain software packages and libraries (mine and others), and participate in community events (as a participant, speaker, or organizer).
If you are looking for a professional who thinks outside the box, collaborates with peers, and has solid technical knowledge, let's connect! I'm always up for a conversation about exciting projects and opportunities.
