I’m looking to continue leading program operations where I can mentor teams, manage performance with weekly metrics, and drive measurable outcomes for students and/or community participants.
Allison Somers
@allisonsomers
Admissions director who builds high-performing teams and improves student enrollment outcomes.
What I'm looking for
I lead admissions operations with a focus on fair hiring, strong staff development, and data-informed decision-making. I interview potential coordinators, negotiate salary for new hires, and deliver performance evaluations to admissions coordinators.
I train and develop staff to help students through the enrollment process, while continuously reviewing weekly metrics and identifying areas of opportunity. I also work closely with campus departments to ensure a positive learning environment.
Before moving into admissions leadership, I served as a Senior Admissions Coordinator, interviewing and mentoring potential students through the admissions process. I coordinated and facilitated orientation day and start day activities and supported admissions team productivity through performance feedback.
Earlier in my career, I led community youth and public health programs, including doubling enrollment for the WEB and Soccer for Success programs. I developed and managed programs, recruited and supervised staff, wrote grant applications, maintained stakeholder relationships, managed budgets, and tracked program outcomes such as attendance, BMI, and survey data.
