Alicia Marino
@aliciamarino
Data science leader connecting technical solutions to business outcomes with strategic clarity.
What I'm looking for
I am a driven data science leader who thrives at the intersection of technical and non-technical worlds, translating high-level visions into executable solutions. I lead teams to build and maintain production machine learning and AI systems that address real business problems.
As Sr. Director of Data Science, I led a 10+ person team developing ML/AI models to combat claims fraud, partnering with Product and SIU to deliver robust, innovative strategies. I have built predictive models and worked with data engineers to deploy solutions using AWS SageMaker and Snowflake.
My background includes roles in academia as an Assistant Professor of Mathematics where I taught multiple courses, organized conferences promoting diversity in mathematics, and served on hiring and scholarship committees. I combine strong quantitative thinking, mathematical communication, and product-focused strategic thinking.
I volunteer as a web administrator and organizer for a local rescue, designing fundraising campaigns and partnerships, and I regularly speak on AI and data science topics. I am excited to bring my research, data, and analytics experience to new industry challenges.
