Alex Moskowitz
@alexmoskowitz
Applied AI governance and ontology analyst, translating complex technical systems into deterministic, audit-ready classification.
What I'm looking for
My background is not a traditional policy-track one. It runs through communication, journalism, academic research, audience strategy, and more recent work in applied ontology and AI governance, with a focus on how we properly understand systems, their effects, and what responsible governance requires.
In my recent work, I’ve built ARCO (Assurance and Regulatory Classification Ontology): a pre-deployment AI classification architecture for determining whether systems satisfy conditions that trigger regulatory obligations. I use a BFO-grounded, CCO-informed EU AI Act Annex III condition-assessment pipeline with OWL-RL reasoning, SHACL constraint validation, and SPARQL audit checks to produce deterministic, audit-traceable outputs.
I also created an AI Governance Automation App to streamline CSV imports, weekly reporting, and governance memo production, and I support ontology credentialing and enterprise outreach through NCOR. I bring Research & Analysis, Writing & Translation, and AI/Governance workflow design together—turning structured technical analysis into stakeholder-ready documentation.

Ontology Credentialing Outreach
National Center for Ontological Research
Mar 2026 - Present (2 months)
Provided independent contractor support for ontology credentialing outreach, early enterprise discovery, and onboarding for NCOR evaluation and membership services. Helped surface ontology-structure issues, semantic interoperability needs, and evaluation questions while translating BFO and ontology governance concepts for non-specialist stakeholders.
Ontology Credentialing Contractor
National Center for Ontological Research (NCOR)
Mar 2026 - Present (2 months)
Supported NCOR ontology credentialing outreach and early enterprise onboarding for evaluation, re-evaluation, and membership services. Helped identify ontology-structure issues, semantic interoperability needs, and evaluation questions while translating BFO and ontology governance concepts for non-specialist stakeholders.
Built a workflow app to automate CSV imports, weekly reporting, and governance memo production to improve speed and consistency over manual spreadsheet workflows. Created recurring memos and a governance hub page to demonstrate governance workflow explainability and adaptability.
Designed a pre-deployment AI classification architecture to assess whether systems trigger regulatory obligations. Built a BFO- and CCO-informed EU AI Act Annex III condition-assessment pipeline using OWL-RL reasoning, SHACL validation, and SPARQL audit checks to generate deterministic, audit-traceable outputs.
