I’m a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) focused on helping patients get the right medication the right way. In my recent role at CVS Caremark, I supported members navigating their prescription benefits and ensured prescriptions were filled correctly and used as intended.
I handled escalated, complex prescription management issues involving Pharmacy Benefits, including navigating Prior Authorizations and Appeal Processes. I calculated quantity and day supply based on how patients take their medication, clarifying differences between how a medication was written by a provider and how it was actually being taken.
I also served as a Subject Matter Expert, providing offline job assistance and coaching to colleagues on intricate member and patient scenarios. Alongside de-escalation and critical thinking, I maintained confidentiality while coordinating with members, pharmacies, drug manufacturers, and medical providers.
