Alexander Viteri
@alexanderviteri
I coordinate humanitarian mobility responses using monitoring, data, and evidence for refugee and migrant programmes.
What I'm looking for
I'm leading MEAL and information-management work for humanitarian programmes serving refugees, migrants, and vulnerable populations across Ecuador and Latin America.
At RET International, I lead MEAL processes for the MYRP-ECW education consortium, coordinating field monitoring, participatory needs assessments, accountability processes, data collection, dashboards, and donor reporting. I translate quantitative and qualitative findings into corrective actions, management recommendations, and stronger programme tools.
Previously, with UNHCR's national GTRM/R4V coordination, I supported more than 70 UN, international, national, and civil-society organizations. I managed national monitoring frameworks, border monitoring, the Joint Needs Assessment of the Venezuelan population, and technical products that informed advocacy, prioritization, and response planning.
Across HIAS and Ecuadorian public institutions, I've designed MEL systems, strengthened data quality and staff capacity, and produced evidence for humanitarian operations, public policy, and donor-funded programmes. I bring a rights-based, intercultural, and evidence-informed approach, working professionally in English and natively in Spanish.
