What I'm looking for

I'm looking to lead and coordinate public health research that strengthens cross-sector partnerships and translates evidence into policy and programs for underserved communities.

At the University of Michigan, I coordinate federally and institutionally funded research on suicide risk, diabetes-related psychosocial care, and firearm-related homicides among Puerto Rican men. I led a peer-reviewed study on social vulnerability and suicide in Puerto Rico and have co-authored more than 12 peer-reviewed publications and conference presentations.

Previously, I coordinated the Hurricane María Mortality Investigation across Puerto Rico hospitals, supervising student data collectors and managing HIPAA, IRB, PHI, and data-use requirements. I build partnerships across academic, hospital, government, and community organizations to turn qualitative and quantitative findings into policy and program recommendations for vulnerable and underserved populations.
