At Discover Home Loans, I've built and operated digital loan-application workflows using Java, Spring Boot, TypeScript, React, Redux Toolkit, PostgreSQL, and AWS. I owned a resilient credit-processing workflow from proof of concept through phased production rollout, allowing customers to continue applications while unreliable third-party requests retried asynchronously.
I've improved production reliability through Datadog APM/RUM, custom monitoring, Playwright acceptance tests, Jenkins CI/CD integration, and internal diagnostic tooling that helps distinguish vendor outages from backend failures. I also helped modernize frontend tooling from Webpack to Vite, established Redux architecture and reusable component patterns, and delivered accessible experiences aligned with WCAG standards.
Before Discover, I delivered React/MUI workflows at BetterCloud, helping complete 12 months of planned scope in 7–8 months while maintaining 100% test coverage. At Algorithmia, I built a Python/Flask alerting service on AWS to route Grafana alerts through SNS, email, SMS, and Slack escalation workflows.
I've also built JVM services and event-streaming systems for RiskSense's vulnerability-management platform, including an Elasticsearch architecture that reduced dashboard load times from 12–14 minutes to about 30 seconds. Earlier, as the sole developer for UNM scholarship software, I owned Ruby on Rails applications end to end—from stakeholder requirements and database design through AWS deployment.
