What I'm looking for

I’m looking to apply communicative language teaching strategies and effective pedagogy to create engaging, inclusive learning that supports real-world English use while continuing strong academic, functional, and cognitive support for learners.

I’m an enthusiastic English speaker with over five years of classroom experience, and I’m aspiring to become an English Language teacher. I’m dedicated to developing students’ oral and written language skills through engaging, inclusive learning.

As a Special EDUCATION TEACHER (Mater academy bonanza, November 2024 – May 2026), I serviced students in grades 6 to 8 with academic, functional, and cognitive support. I differentiated learning and instruction through accommodations and modification of grade level curriculum, and I collaborated with colleagues to develop and evaluate curriculum pacing and strategies.

Alongside this, I worked as an After school teacher (Nevada afterschool network, March 2025 – November 2025), supporting students with homework, tutoring, and enrichment activities aligned with school-day learning objectives. I also implemented enrichment lessons across Math, ELA, Science, and History.

Earlier, I served as a Substitute Teacher K-12 (TROOP EDUCATORS, August 2021 – May 2024), filling in for regular teachers, following lesson plans, and monitoring, supporting, and guiding students’ academic learning. I also worked as a Camp Counselor (Girl Scouts of Southern Nevada, June 2022 – August 2022), assisting scouts ages 5–14 with badges and summer activities, and I earned a BA in special education from Western Governors University and an AA in Secondary Education from College of Southern Nevada.
