Joie Shepard

I am a passionate educator with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Whitworth University, where I have honed my skills in curriculum development and classroom management. My experience includes piloting the ELA curriculum Whitt and Wisdom, as well as implementing the McGraw Math and Wonders ELA curriculum. I have successfully built and executed lesson plans that accommodate various learning styles, ensuring that all students, including those with IEPs and ELL needs, receive the support they require to thrive.

Throughout my teaching journey, I have collaborated with fellow educators to enhance student learning and foster a positive classroom community. My commitment to professional development is evident through my participation in seminars and teacher retreats, where I focus on supporting the academic, developmental, and religious needs of my students. I am dedicated to creating an inclusive and engaging learning environment that promotes social development and academic success.
