I'm a senior full stack engineer with 4+ years of building products end to end, and for the last few years I've mostly worked as the engineer who sets the architecture and then builds it with a small team.

Right now I'm the founding senior engineer at Altek, an AI platform for hotels. I designed the system from the ground up: a Turborepo monorepo that replaced four legacy repos, a shared UI library, a TypeScript API client generated from our OpenAPI spec, and a FastAPI backend on Google Cloud. The core product is an AI assistant that reads guest emails, calls tools against five different hotel management systems (Mews, Opera Cloud, Apaleo, VisBook, BookVisit), retrieves each hotel's policies from a Pinecone knowledge base, and drafts replies for staff. Most of the hard decisions were around the integration layer, keeping data from five very different systems consistent enough for an AI to act on.

In parallel I work with Poppy AI, where I designed the caching and routing layer that runs 27+ LLMs from 5 providers behind one interface, built Teams with role-based access, and added MCP integrations so the AI can use Slack and Google as tools. I also work with Mara, a review management platform for hotel groups, where I owned the survey product end to end and brought slow Postgres dashboard endpoints from 4 seconds to under 1.

Before that I spent two years at ChatDaddy, a WhatsApp Business platform in Hong Kong. I rebuilt the e-commerce order sync (bug reports dropped about 80%), built the credits billing frontend that helped raise average deal size by 35%, and mentored junior engineers. Earlier I built fintech and media apps for UK clients at Nordstone, used by 50,000+ people.

What I enjoy most is the zero to one stage: taking a vague business problem, deciding how the system should be shaped, and getting it to production with real customers using it. I'm most interested in agentic AI that does real work inside a business, integration-heavy products, and performance problems where the numbers matter. I use Claude Code daily and built an MCP server to coordinate multiple coding agents.

I'm looking for a senior, staff or founding engineer role at a small product team (roughly 5 to 20 engineers), remote, with TypeScript or Python on the backend. I'm based in India and comfortable overlapping with US or European hours.
