Abdulmajid Mrebit
@abdulmajidmrebit
Assistant Professor of Electrical Engineering specializing in radar DSP and digital systems.
What I'm looking for
I’m an Assistant Professor of Electrical Engineering with extensive teaching experience in circuits, electronics, digital systems, communications, and radar. I focus on strong curriculum design, classroom and laboratory instruction, and mentoring senior design projects.
My research expertise spans radar system design, track processing, and scan rate modulation, including improving the probability of detection while reducing false alarms. I apply Kalman filter estimators for multi-target tracking and fuzzy controllers to enhance detection and tracking performance.
I actively support NSF proposal development and collaborative research, including practical ABET accreditation experience through two workshops and service on the Electrical Engineering ABET Committee at Benedict College. I’ve also led grant proposal submissions as 3 as PI, 1 as Co-PI, and 1 as Senior Key Personnel, with proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink.
