I’m looking to drive results through strategic communications and multilingual content—combining digital media storytelling, high-quality language services, and data-informed insights to build innovative solutions that improve community outcomes.

I’m a communications strategist and multilingual broadcast journalist with years of experience driving media relations, PR writing, news reporting and presenting, and multilingual content creation. I help organizations increase visibility through strategic communications, digital storytelling, and high-quality language services.

Since November 2016, I’ve worked as a Linguistic Consultant, delivering translation, localization, quality assurance/analysis, voice over, and interpretation (Somali/Kiswahili/English). I focus on preserving the original meaning and message while ensuring clear, audience-ready communication.

In parallel, I’ve provided remote consecutive interpretation for corporate, NGO, and government clients, maintaining accurate interpretation and professional customer service. I’ve also served as a Content Consultant for the African Management Institute (AMI–Mercy Corps Learning Project), strengthening Somali entrepreneurship learning content through development, translation, and rigorous quality assurance.

As Communications Strategist and Head of Innovations for the Office of the MP, Wajir South Constituency, I coordinated media and communication activities, produced web and social content, and led strategic messaging to constituents. I’m passionate about using technology and digital media to design innovative solutions/products that improve community lives.
