Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Windows Infrastructure Manager to lead our Windows server environment and ensure the reliability, performance, and security of our infrastructure. This role requires an individual with an in-depth understanding of Windows architecture and services, who can drive strategic initiatives and manage a team of engineers to optimize our systems.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of Windows server infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Develop and enforce policies and procedures for system monitoring, security, and disaster recovery.
- Lead a team of system administrators in troubleshooting complex infrastructure issues and implementing solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute infrastructure projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Monitor system performance and capacity, proactively identifying and addressing potential issues.
- Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies to continually improve our infrastructure.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in managing Windows server environments.
- Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, and Windows Server features.
- Proven experience in scripting and automation (PowerShell, etc.) to improve operational efficiency.
- Experience in capacity planning and performance tuning of Windows environments.
Preferred:
- Experience with cloud technologies (Azure, AWS) and hybrid infrastructures.
- ITIL certification and knowledge of IT service management best practices.
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- In-depth expertise in Windows Server architecture and services.
- Knowledge of networking protocols and services (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
- Experience with monitoring tools and performance analysis.
