Role Overview
We are seeking a strategic, results-driven Director of IT Systems to lead our technology initiatives and drive the optimization of our IT infrastructure. This role is pivotal in aligning our IT systems with business goals, ensuring robust system performance, and fostering innovation across the organization. As a key leader, you will oversee the development and implementation of IT strategies that enhance operational efficiency and support scalable growth.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive IT systems strategy that aligns with organizational objectives and business needs
- Lead the design, implementation, and management of IT infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security, and performance
- Manage a team of IT professionals, providing mentorship, guidance, and support to drive team performance and development
- Oversee budget planning and resource allocation for IT projects, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to timelines
- Establish and enforce IT governance frameworks and best practices to safeguard organizational data and systems
- Drive the selection and integration of advanced technologies, including cloud solutions, to enhance system capabilities and efficiencies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify technology needs and deliver effective solutions that meet business requirements
- Continuously assess emerging technologies and industry trends to inform strategic decisions and ensure competitive advantage
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 10+ years of experience in IT management or a related field, with a strong track record of leading IT systems initiatives
- Proven experience in designing and managing complex IT infrastructures, including cloud services
- Strong knowledge of IT governance frameworks and compliance standards
- Demonstrated ability to manage large-scale IT projects from inception to completion
- Exceptional leadership skills, with a focus on team development and performance enhancement
Preferred:
- Experience in a Director-level role or equivalent within a technology-driven organization
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and IT project management tools
- Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, PMP, CISSP) are a plus
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Deep understanding of IT infrastructure components including servers, storage, networking, and cloud architectures
- Proficient in IT service management tools and systems monitoring technologies
- Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and customer relationship management (CRM) platforms
