Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Trail Project Manager to oversee our innovative trail development projects. In this pivotal role, you will manage cross-functional teams, ensuring timely delivery of projects while adhering to safety, environmental, and community engagement standards. Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and completion of trail projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and community needs.
- Coordinate with stakeholders, including environmental agencies, community groups, and internal teams to facilitate project approval and execution.
- Develop and manage project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation to ensure successful project delivery.
- Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies, providing actionable insights to inform project design and implementation.
- Implement best practices in project management and trail design, promoting sustainability and safety throughout the project lifecycle.
- Monitor and report on project progress, adjusting plans as necessary to mitigate risks and address challenges.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Project Management, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in project management, preferably in outdoor recreation, environmental planning, or civil engineering.
- Proven track record of managing complex projects from inception to completion, with a focus on stakeholder engagement and collaboration.
Preferred:
- Certification in Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar.
- Experience with GIS and trail design software.
- Familiarity with local, state, and federal regulations related to land use and environmental protection.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Strong proficiency in project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Asana, or Trello.
- Ability to analyze data and generate reports for project status, budget tracking, and stakeholder updates.
- Experience with budgeting and financial management in project contexts.
