Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Forestry, Natural Resource Management, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in forestry management or a related role, with a focus on sustainable practices
- Strong knowledge of forest ecosystems, wildlife conservation, and timber management practices
- Proven leadership skills with experience in team management and project oversight
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders
Preferred:
- Master's degree in Forestry or Environmental Science
- Experience with GIS technology and forest inventory systems
- Certification as a Registered Professional Forester (RPF) or equivalent
- Background in community outreach and stakeholder engagement initiatives
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency with forestry management software and GIS tools
- Experience with data collection, analysis, and reporting for forestry projects
- Familiarity with environmental regulations and compliance standards
