Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Tin Pouring Supervisor to oversee and optimize our tin pouring operations. This role is critical in ensuring that all processes are conducted safely, efficiently, and in compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in metallurgy and foundry operations, along with excellent leadership capabilities to mentor and direct a team of skilled pourers.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily tin pouring operations, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and production quality standards
- Monitor and optimize pouring processes to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality
- Conduct regular training sessions for team members on best practices in tin pouring and safety procedures
- Collaborate with engineering and quality control teams to troubleshoot issues and implement corrective actions
- Maintain accurate records of production metrics and report on performance against KPIs
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives within the tin pouring department
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in a supervisory role within a metal pouring or foundry environment
- Strong knowledge of tin metallurgy and pouring techniques
- Proven track record of maintaining high safety standards and leading teams
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment
Preferred:
- Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
- Certification in metallurgy or a related field
- Previous experience in a remote work environment
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in using foundry management software and production planning tools
- Understanding of metallurgical processes and quality assurance practices
- Familiarity with safety and environmental regulations in the foundry industry
