Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Steel Pouring Supervisor to oversee our steel pouring operations. In this pivotal role, you will ensure that production processes are efficient, safe, and meet the highest quality standards. Your leadership will drive continuous improvement initiatives and mentor team members to uphold our commitment to excellence and safety in steel manufacturing.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily steel pouring operations, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and production standards.
- Monitor and optimize pouring processes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing best practices.
- Lead and train a team of operators, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous learning.
- Collaborate with engineering and quality assurance teams to troubleshoot issues and enhance production methodologies.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and processes to ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
- Prepare and analyze production reports, providing insights and recommendations for operational enhancements.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in steel manufacturing with a focus on pouring operations.
- Proven leadership skills and experience in managing production teams.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and industry regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Preferred:
- Experience with continuous improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing.
- Familiarity with automation technologies in steel pouring processes.
- Degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- In-depth knowledge of steel metallurgy and pouring techniques.
- Experience with production management software and tools.
- Proficiency in analyzing technical documents and specifications.
