Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Foundry Supervisor to oversee and optimize our foundry operations. In this fully remote position, you will leverage your extensive knowledge of metal casting processes to drive efficiency, ensure quality, and lead a team of dedicated professionals committed to achieving production goals while maintaining the highest safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise daily operations within the foundry, ensuring adherence to production schedules and quality standards.
- Implement and monitor operational processes to optimize production efficiency and minimize waste.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and machinery to ensure proper functioning and compliance with safety regulations.
- Provide technical support and guidance to team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and skill development.
- Collaborate with engineering and quality assurance teams to troubleshoot issues and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain detailed production records and prepare reports for management on operational performance and improvement opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, promoting a safe working environment.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in foundry operations or a related field, with a proven track record in supervisory or leadership roles.
- In-depth knowledge of metal casting processes, materials, and equipment.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify problems and implement effective solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote team environment.
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Metallurgy, or a related field.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Familiarity with foundry management software and data analysis tools.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in foundry equipment operation and maintenance.
- Experience with quality control methodologies and tools.
- Ability to analyze production data and metrics to drive decision-making.
