Role Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Assistant Special Education Preschool Teacher to join our vibrant educational community. Responsibilities
- Assist in the planning and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to the unique needs of each child.
- Support the lead teacher in managing classroom activities, ensuring a safe and productive environment for all students.
- Engage with students through play and structured activities, promoting social skills and emotional development.
- Monitor and document student progress, providing feedback to the lead teacher and participating in regular assessments.
- Collaborate with parents and caregivers to share insights and strategies for supporting children's learning at home.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in special education.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education, Special Education, or a related field.
- Experience working with preschool-aged children, particularly those with special needs.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field.
- Knowledge of various special education practices and methodologies.
- Previous experience in a preschool setting or similar educational environment.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Familiarity with IEP development and implementation.
- Basic understanding of child development principles and special education laws.
- Proficient in using educational software and technology for tracking student progress.
