Role Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Assistant Kindergarten Special Education Teacher to join our dynamic educational team. In this role, you will support the lead teacher in creating an inclusive and nurturing environment for students with diverse learning needs, ensuring every child has the opportunity to thrive and succeed.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the planning and implementation of individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique strengths and challenges.
- Support the lead teacher in delivering engaging and adaptive instruction in accordance with curriculum guidelines.
- Facilitate small group and one-on-one sessions to reinforce learning concepts and provide additional support.
- Monitor student progress and behavior, providing feedback and making adjustments to instructional strategies as needed.
- Collaborate with parents, educators, and specialists to create a cohesive support network for students.
- Maintain a safe and organized classroom environment that promotes positive social interaction and emotional development.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- A bachelor's degree in Special Education, Early Childhood Education, or a related field.
- Experience working with children with special needs in an educational setting.
- Strong understanding of child development and effective teaching strategies for diverse learners.
Preferred:
- Certification in Special Education or relevant coursework.
- Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to support student learning.
- Familiarity with assistive technology and adaptive teaching methods.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
