Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Payroll Manager to oversee our payroll operations and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. In this critical role, you will be responsible for managing payroll processing, ensuring accurate and timely payroll delivery, and implementing best practices to enhance operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring timely and accurate payroll for all employees
- Oversee payroll calculations, including wages, deductions, and taxes, while ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations
- Develop and implement payroll policies and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy
- Collaborate with HR and finance teams to ensure proper employee classification and compliance with labor laws
- Lead payroll audits and ensure compliance with internal and external reporting requirements
- Provide guidance and support to employees regarding payroll inquiries and issues
- Continuously identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to enhance payroll operations
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in payroll management, with a strong understanding of payroll processes and regulations
- Proven experience with payroll software and systems, such as ADP, Paychex, or similar
- Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations
Preferred:
- Experience in a hybrid work environment, with a focus on remote team collaboration
- Certification in payroll management (e.g., CPP or FPC) is a plus
- Strong project management and organizational skills
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in payroll software and tools, including Excel and HRIS systems
- Familiarity with accounting principles and financial reporting
- Experience with data analysis and reporting tools to track payroll metrics
